This section is for all your tips to successful bird breeding.
Example do you use a log or do you use a box for nesting do you feed your birds anything special prior to breeding any tips at all that you think may help.

Nest boxes are preferable for ease of maintenance, inspection, and are replaceable with an identical nest when required. For parrot nests that have a more natural look and feel (for the parrots) you can add a log entrance over the nest box hole. Even if the nest box is hung externally (face to the wire) you can add an internal face plate made of e.g. eucalyptus bark slab. The advantage of the internal plate in this instance is to give the birds a closer connection to the box where some pairs do not like the box essentially covered with wire (which, to the birds, represents a barrier).
