I would just like to introduce myself, I have been around for more than half a century, spend 20 years in the military. After leaving that I settles near the mighty Murrumbidgee River in South West NSW, (in the biggest inland city in NSW, some of you will know it).
After I left the military I bought a pair of Cinnamon Peachfaces, that has now grown to about 70 aviaries. I currently breed lorikeets, I have all Australian Lorikeets and have bred them all. I also have Conures (Greencheeks & Suns), Plumheaded Parrots, Princess Parrots, Cockatiels, Swift Parrots, Lutino Elegant Parrots, several pairs of exotic lories and oh yes I still have a few Peachfaces & Masked Lovebirds.
I have entered birds in many shows throughout NSW including the Sydney Royal Easter with a reasonable amount of success, I am not as active on the show scene these days but I amd accredited to judge both Parrots & Lovebirds something I have come to really enjoy having judged at both a National Show and the Sydney Royal Easter.
I also travel to most major sales in NSW and have done for quite a few years, really enjoy my weekends in Gunnedah , Orange, etc.
Over the years I have also kept and bred many other species of mainly Australian Parrots and a few finches even had and bred some wrens for a short while (couldn't keep the little buggers in).
I have also been active in club administration but I am currently taking a break from that.
That's a little bit about me, been around a while but still building more aviaries and learning more about my chosen hobby every day.
Cheers all.
